Turn-based strategy game, Wargroove, has finally received an official Nintendo Switch release date. Set to launch next week on February 1st 2019, Wargroove for Switch will cost £15.99 / $19.99 / €16,99 and is available for pre-order and pre-download on the eShop now.

Having already teased fans about the Nintendo Switch version launching “very soon”, it was only a matter of time until Chucklefish made an official announcement. PC and Xbox One players can also pick Wargroove up on February 1st but PS4 owners will need to just wait a little longer.

There are over 50 hours of single-player content, spread over three separate modes packed into Wargroove. Alongside this are both competitive and co-op multiplayer options. Battle other players or join up with friends for a co-op skirmish locally or online.

The highlight for many, however, will certainly be the robust editor Chucklefish has included. Build your own maps, campaigns and stories before sharing them with the world or explore and download the creations of others.

Both visuals and gameplay are reminiscent of Intelligent Systems’ Advance Wars and those looking to scratch that itch should keep an eye on Wargroove. Originally slated for a late 2018 release, Wargroove launches on Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox One on February 1st, 2019 for £15.99 / $19.99 / €16,99 and is available to pre-order now.
