Pitched as an “absurdly wonderful puzzle-exploration game”, Pikuniku is a dystopian adventure wrapped up in a charming colourful package. Players take control of a (rather simplistic looking) red oval with legs as they explore a puzzle-ridden world filled with memorable characters to help and a “deep state conspiracy” to uncover.

In addition to the single player experience, Pikuniku supports co-op play with custom designed levels tailored towards two players. When in co-op, player two will take the role of an orange character of near-identical design to the protagonist and (based on the trailer) can be also be kicked around to help solve various environmental puzzles.

Marking the London/Paris based developers’ debut title, Pikuniku is set to launch for PC and Nintendo Switch on January 24th 2019. If you can’t wait to check out this deceptively delightful indie title, then feast your eyes on the official release date trailer below.
