The World Ends With You: Final Remix gets an October release date on Switch

Square Enix’s RPG classic battles its way onto Switch - October 12th.

The World Ends with You: Final Remix, a port of Square Enix’s critically acclaimed DS action-RPG, will be coming to Nintendo Switch on October 12th 2018. In addition to a release date, the announcement also included a brand new teaser trailer showcasing the game’s characters and boxart.

Originally released over 10 years ago for the Nintendo DS, the game’s Switch port boasts new highly detailed visuals, enhanced gameplay, new music, and some additional content. The World Ends with You: Final Remix will also adopt some of the DS-like touch controls in handheld mode, as well as being fully playable using the Joy-Con controllers.

Set in a heavily stylised interpretation Shibuya (Tokyo), The World Ends with You sees players take on the role of a teenage boy called Neku Sakuraba. Wiped of his memories and forced to participate in a twisted game of life-or-death, Neku must partner up and find out exactly what it going on.
