Lightning Rod Games has announced that they’ll be bringing their emotional puzzle title, A Fold Apart, to the Nintendo Switch and Windows this June! The origami-inspired game will also be coming to PS4 and Xbox One, but no release window for these additional platforms has been announced just yet.

A Fold Apart offers a touching and relatable story between two characters who are struggling through a long distance relationship, forced upon them by career choices. The game explores how living far away from those we care about can result in many different outcomes and hurdles. Set in a 3D, papercraft world, A Fold Apart is sure to please the eyes and pull the heartstrings of every player.

Featuring an award-winning mechanic that allows the in-game world to be folded in half, A Fold Apart sports over 50 unique puzzles for players to explore and solve. If tear-jerking plotlines weren’t already enough to make you well up, players will also be able to customise their relationship and choose different character pairings to make the story more relate-able to their life.

A Fold Apart is set to release on Nintendo Switch and Windows at some point in June 2019. AT the moment, there’s been no official word on pricing or release dates for other platforms. If you find yourself at PAX East in Boston, then you’ll also have the chance to try A Fold Apart for yourself and score an origami heart at the same time! Get ready for a real tear-jerker this June and check out the emotional teaser trailer below.
