Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate bursts onto the Nintendo Switch today, available from the eShop and as a physical release.

The game is a port of 2015’s Monster Hunter Generations for 3DS and has been available in Japan since last August as Monster Hunter XX. This “Ultimate” version of the game includes a few new additions such as local and online multiplayer as well as a new “G” rank, pitting hunters against familiar foes with all-new moves and abilities.

As part of the fan-favourite series, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate sends players on a quest to defend the game’s villages from the “Fated Four” and even packs in a new and dangerous Elder Dragon to take on. With fresh beasts to hunt alongside Monster Hunter legends like Zinogre and Nargacuga, Generations Ultimate boasts the largest line-up of monsters to-date.

Players of Monster Hunter Generations on 3DS who are eager to get back to hunting are able to transfer their save to Ultimate and continue their journey. Capcom also teased some upcoming free DLC including a possible “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” crossover, asking fans to “stay tuned.”

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is available now for $59.99 / £49.99 / €59,99 from the eShop and other retailers.
