Have you ever wondered what would happen if you and three of your friends decided to renovate a flat together? Well now’s the perfect time to find out, without putting down any deposits or investing in any power tools.
Tools Up! is a top-down action game that was designed for couch co-op, allowing you and your nearest and dearest to share the experience of home renovation without getting your hands dirty. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch, alongside PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, later this year.
From developers The Knights of Unity, Tools Up! gives you the chance to renovate the apartments of a mysterious skyscraper. The residents will leave you instructions, and then it’s up to you to follow the blueprints to complete the job, changing the wallpaper, putting down new flooring, hanging new doors, the resident’s wish is your command!
Each player takes control of a different character. Four are available at the start with more to unlock along the way, and each person is responsible for a different part of the renovation. For example, only one player holds the blueprints, which gives them, and them alone, control of changing the camera angle. Campaign missions are completed with a variety of victory conditions, and once you’ve beaten one it will become available to play in Party Mode to play again and again.
Do you and your friends have what it takes to rise to the top of the renovation game? You can find out later this year when Tools Up! releases on Nintendo Switch.
