Inkypen Nintendo Switch Comic Book Service

InkyPen, a brand new subscription-based comic book service, is heading to the Nintendo Switch this November. Using the InkyPen Switch app, subscribers will be able to read comics, graphic novels and manga from around the world – directly on Nintendo’s hybrid console.

InkyPen subscriptions will cost $7.99 /  €7.99 (or local equivalent) per month and over access to thousands of comics and a promise of no piecemeal content in future. The service boasts titles from multiple well-known publishers, such as: Dynamite, IDW, Valiant, les Humanoïdes Associés, Titan, Andrews McMeel, and states that more are still to be announced.

Some examples of comic series available through InkyPen are listed below:

  • Dark Souls
  • Dishonored
  • Warhammer
  • Judge Dread
  • Dungeons and Dragons
  • Assasin’s Creed
  • Transformers

Here’s what Ronan Huggard (InkyPen CEO) had to say about the service:

InkyPen is the best way to read what you want, where you want from the rich world of graphic novels and comic books. We have no intention of selling content piecemeal, there are other places for that. We’re bringing an all-you-can-read model to the international community.

InkyPen will initially launch in English with additional languages following shortly afterwards. The comic book service will be available globally (with some exceptions) and subscriptions will cover users on both the Nintendo Switch and all future platforms.
