Golf Peaks, the hand-crafted puzzler from Afterburn Games, will officially be heading to Nintendo Switch on March 14th 2019. The golf-themed game will be available to download from the Nintendo eShop for the modest sum of $4.99 / €4,99.
You don’t need to understand golf to puzzle your way to the top of these mountains, as Golf Peaks isn’t your usual skill-shot challenge. Pitching itself as a “relaxing puzzler where you climb mountains by playing golf”, players will instead navigate the ball using an intuitive card-based action system. Every level in Golf Peaks is made up of varying block types, which not only create vertical obstacles but also affect the ball’s movement in different ways. Land on the wrong block and you may even find that you’re now a ball short.
Golf Peaks’ Nintendo Switch release is slated to feature over 100 different levels for players to solve, HD rumble integration, 9 separate worlds, and the option to either play with Joy-Con controllers or the Switch’s built-in touchscreen. Coupled with a “mind-soothing” atmosphere and extremely modest asking price, Golf Peaks certainly seems like one to keep an eye.
