Asmodee Digital is bringing five tabletop hits to the Switch

Carcassonne, Pandemic, Catan and more on the way!

Tabletop classics coming to SwitchFive popular board games are making their way to the Nintendo Switch thanks to Asmodee Digital. The best selling games are currently in development and will be released throughout 2018 and into 2019.

Currently planned for release on Nintendo Switch are Carcassonne, The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game, Pandemic, Catan and Munchkin. Carcassonne is set to be available in time for the 2018 holiday season with the other board game hits pitted for a 2019 release.

Carcassonne is an award-winning tile placement game where players take turns to build a medieval world. The Switch port boasts full 3D maps, solo mode, 4-player local multiplayer and the game’s expansions available as paid DLC when it launches in December 2018.

Pandemic tasks you with stopping the spread of four deadly diseases by curing them on your own or with three friends in 4-player local multiplayer. The Switch version of the game will also include Pandemic’s popular expansions as paid DLC. Keep an eye out for it in March 2019.

The Lord of the Rings: The Living Card Game

Build a powerful deck either alone or with another player to on the forces of Sauron in The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game. Play out story-driven quests inspired by the fantasy classic The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game when it hits the Switch in April 2019.

Also in development are adaptations of two of the most popular and iconic board games in history. Catan Universe and a dungeon-crawler based on Munchkin are also set for release in 2019.
