Double Gold Points Fest

To celebrate Summer, Nintendo of Europe has begun what they’re calling the “Double Gold Points Fest”, where, as the title implies, various games are giving double gold points on the eShop. This limited-time offer lasts from now until August 12th. The added savings means players will earn up to 10% back on each purchase on eShop.

On July 23rd and 30th, Nintendo will be unveiling three additional games to be added to their selection of eligible titles. For now, the existing six titles eligible for this promotion include a healthy range of genres from RPGs, to co-op puzzlers, to detective mystery titles.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is an epic JRPG, the latest release in the epic Dragon Quest saga. Following the Luminary, players meet a cast of charismatic characters to save the world from an ominous threat.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the winner of countless awards. Releasing originally in 2011, this title has defined the modern RPG genre in the west. Including special Zelda-themed gear, this portable version of the modern classic is a full-fat portable version available on the Nintendo Switch.

Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy – Deluxe Edition follows the daughter of the esteemed detective. Playing as Katrielle, gather clues and solve mysteries by applying logic to the extraordinary.

Snipperclips – Cut it out, together! has players solve puzzles cooperatively. Players each take control of snip and clip, making shapes out of one another to effectively solve the puzzles thrown their way.

Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training challenges players to solve brain teasers using the touch screen and Joycon IR Camera. Players calculate their Brain Age Score and train regularly to show off the strength of their brain.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a strategy RPG taking place on a continent on the verge of war. Players begin their adventure as they become a professor at Garreg Mach Monastery in the centre of the continent of Fódlan. Throughout their tenure, players raise and train their students for combat, form relationships, and prepare their students to decide the future of all Fódlan. With many routes to choose offering different perspectives and stories from your classes, this strategy RPG is noted for the writing and engagement it brings fans.

If the above titles don’t pique your interest, make sure to check the eShop next Thursday when Nintendo add more to the celebration. If you’ve been holding off on getting any of these titles though, right now is the perfect time to jump in on a new summer game!
