Fangamer has announced that the hit Indie role-playing game UNDERTALE will be getting a Western physical and Collectors Edition release. Priced at $29 and $69, the physical releases are available to pre-order now, with shipping expected in September 2018.
Previously only announced for Japan, the Western physical releases will see many collectors and physical-enthusiasts breath a sigh of relief (especially with a same-month release). Although, as Fangamer is based in Arizona, Europeans can still expect to be hit with a $6 – $11 shipping charge and import tax on top.
Both the standard and Collectors editions of UNDERTALE will include a 24-page story booklet featuring illustrations by the game’s main artists Temmie Chang. In addition to the story booklet, the Nintendo Switch Collectors Edition will also include:
- A complete UNDERTALE soundtrack with over 100 songs (2 CDs)
- A booklet of musical scores and annotations by Toby Fox (featuring 6 songs).
- A 14k gold-plated brass music box locket.
- A collector’s slipcase box.
Unfortunately, unlike the Japanese release, the Western Collectors Edition does not appear to include either a collectable bookmark or microfiber cloth.
