Ubisoft’s new IP Gods & Monsters is coming to Nintendo Switch

Do you have what it takes to save the Greek gods?

During their E3 Press conference, Ubisoft has revealed that their new IP Gods & Monsters will release for Nintendo Switch on February 25 2020, alongside its release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, UPlay+ and Stadia.

Gods & Monsters’ Protagonist Fenyx

Gods & Monsters puts you in control of Fenyx, a mythical hero tasked with restoring the fallen Greek gods to the top of Mt. Olympus. In order to do this, you’ll have to defeat Typhon, the deadliest of the Greek monsters, and his army of fearsome mythological creatures.

To fulfil your mission you’ll traverse an open-world designed to evoke painted storybooks, making your way through dungeons, solving puzzles and completing legendary quests, (in between battling harpies, gorgons and the odd cyclops, of course).

However formidable your battle prowess, however, this is a quest that it will be hard to complete single-handedly. Along the way, you’ll need to enlist the help of the Greek gods themselves and use their divine powers to truly take the upper hand in the fight against Typhon.

Gods & Monsters has been developed by Ubisoft Quebec, the studio behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. “Over the last 10 years, I have had the chance to be part of an incredible team that has pushed the limits of Assassin’s Creed to explore historical periods from a unique angle,” said Senior Producer Marc-Alexis Côté.

“But our imagination has always been bound to the reality of the history books,” he continued. “Through our work on … Odyssey these past four years, our minds have lingered on another aspect of our history – mythology. Today, with Gods & Monsters, the tales we all love and know so well become a reality to be explored like never before”.

Gods & Monsters will release for Nintendo Switch on February 25 2020, alongside its release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, UPlay+ and Stadia.
