Two Point Hospital for Nintendo Switch delayed until first half of 2020

All console releases pushed to make them the best they can be.

Two Point Hospital, the hospital management simulation game from developer Two Point, has been delayed for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. The console ports, which were originally targeting a “late 2019” launch window, have now been pushed back and will instead aim for release during the first half of 2020.

According to Two Point, porting a game for three consoles at once (without compromising on quality) has become “a tricky programming puzzle”. The decision to delay the upcoming ports was made to “iron out the remaining creases” and ensure that Two Point Hospital would be “the best it possibly can be on all three”.

Sumo Digital subsidiary Red Kite Games are working alongside Two Point to bring the management sim to consoles. Having already worked on triple-A titles like God of War III Remastered and Dirt 4, it’s probably safe to assume that Two Point Hospital is in good hands.

Two Point Hospital is set to release on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One during the first half of 2020. The console releases are set to include two expansions and will be available in both physical and digital formats.

Pre-orders for the physical Nintendo Switch edition are available on Amazon, with digital downloads hitting the eShop in future.
