Whispering Willows is coming to Nintendo Switch on September 27th, 2018 and is available to pre-order now on the eShop for £7.99 / $9.99 / €9.99.

In Whispering Willows you’ll play as Elena Elkhorn, a young girl who must embark on a terrifying journey to find her missing father, discovering more about the dark secrets of Willows Mansion along the way. Elena will also discover more about herself as she undertakes this harrowing search. Using an amulet gifted to her by her father, she can astral project her spirit and communicate with the dead. Players will have to use this unique skill to solve puzzles throughout the mansion.

Developers Akupara Games have put a special focus on utilising the HD feature of the Switch’s Joy Cons. Unique vibrating patterns will alert you to the presence of spirits, with a slow steady pulse indicating a friendly entity is nearby, and a panicked, quick-paced vibration alerting you to something more sinister.

It’s not only the use of HD Rumble which will immerse you in the chilling world of Whispering Willows. The beautifully hand-drawn 2D world is complemented by eerie music and spooky sound effects to make you feel truly haunted.

Whispering Willows was originally released on Ouya in 2014 following a successful Kickstarter campaign, with a PC release following later that year. The game won several awards after its release, including the Casual Connect Indie Prize for ‘Best Story’ and an OUYA CREATE Game Jam prize for ‘Most Immersive’.
