PowerA will be releasing an officially licensed Overwatch themed “Enhanced Wireless” controller for the Nintendo Switch in the near future. One of the upcoming Overwatch designs (featuring the character Reaper), has made its way onto the Amazon US listings prior to an official announcement.
After an Overwatch Switch case popped up on Amazon a few days ago, it’s not exactly a shocker that PowerA would be spinning out Overwatch themed Nintendo Switch accessories soon. However, it looks as though the American accessory manufacture has not only set its target on protective cases, but also Overwatch themed Switch controllers.
Officially titled on Amazon as the “POWER A Overwatch Enhanced Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch – Reaper“, the upcoming Pro Controller alternative is said to feature a wireless Bluetooth 5.0 connection, motion controls, mappable buttons, and over 30 hours of play. While only a Reaper design has been spotted so far, the controller is officially licensed by Blizzard Entertainment, so additional character designs certainly look likely in future.
Although no release date is listed for the upcoming Overwatch controller(s), the game is set to launch for Nintendo Switch on October 15th 2019 and it’s not unlikely that the upcoming accessorises could launch alongside it.
