After what seems like months of rumours and teases, Atlus has finally revealed what they had up their sleeves for Switch and Persona fans. Titled “Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers”, the brand new spin-off game (set in the Persona 5 world) will officially be heading to Nintendo Switch and PS4.

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers takes the beloved characters from the main game and transplants them into a new action-RPG. For their first foray into the genre, Atlus has teamed up with publisher Koei Tecmo and more specifically, their development studio, Omega Force. The veteran studio is known for their work on the Dynasty Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors, and Hyrule Warriors games and Persona fans can expect more of the same from P5S.

Currently there’s no release date set for Persona 5 Scramble and it’s not yet known if the game will be making its way west in the foreseeable future. Aside from the trailer and reveal of Koei Tecmo’s involvement, little information is divulged on the game’s official website.

While some fans will undoubtedly be disappointed that P5S wasn’t the rumoured port of the main game to Switch, it’s not all doom and gloom. We’ll have to wait for more information on Persona 5 Scramble, but in the meantime be sure to check out the embedded trailer below for a first look at this new action-RPG.
