Nintendo reveals 4th DLC fighter, Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury

Get ready to become the King of Fighters

Nintendo has revealed the 4th DLC fighter coming to Super Smash Brothers Ultimate: Terry Bogard from SNK’s Fatal Fury franchise.

Terry Bogard was confirmed to be the 4th Challenger Pack DLC fighter during today’s Nintendo Direct, with an announcement trailer dripping with retro video game goodness. This news comes after leaks and rumours pointed to an SNK character being the next addition to the roster.

Fatal Fury: King of Fighters released on the Neo Geo in 1991

For players unfamiliar with the character, Terry made his debut in the first entry of the Fatal Fury series, Fatal Fury: King of Fighters, as one of three playable characters. Terry went on to become the face of the franchise and has since appeared in every Fatal Fury game as well as SNK’s crossover fighting series The King of Fighters.

However, this somehow wasn’t all the Smash news in today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo also revealed that even more DLC fighters are now in development for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. A Version 5.0 patch also launches alongside Banjo-Kazooie today , which includes the return of Home Run Contest which Sakurai described as “pretty much the final new mode!”

Terry Bogard is available as part of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass, following Persona 5’s Joker, Dragon Quest’s Hero and Banjo-Kazooie and will be available this November.
