Megadimension Neptunia VII looks to be coming to Switch at some point in the future, as its rating has popped up in the Korean games rating board. Now receiving the same age 15+ rating as the PS4 version of the game, the portable port has yet to receive an official announcement.
Separated into three distinct chapters, Megadimension Neptunia VII follows a different story for each dimension, with each its own title. Taking place in the Zero Dimension, Hyper Dimension, and Heart Dimension, players set on an adventure within the world of Gameindustri.
Taking control of Neptune and her friends, the title boasts sixteen goddesses to form a party with, all of whom are personifications of fictional video game consoles. Every character features unique transformations which accompany a change in personality and combat style. Additionally, MegadimensionNeptunia adds a “Next Form” transformation for all its characters. Battles include four-member parties as players engage in super-massive turn-based battles against monolithic titans.
Originally released in Japan on PS4 early 2015, this title first released overseas in February 2016, coming to PC later that year. Megadimension Neptunia VIIR first released for PS4 in 2017 with a new battle system and virtual reality tied in. This VR port made its way to PC late in 2018.
Super Neptunia RPG released for Switch in December 2018, making its way to the west in June 2019. This spin-off was a 2D side-scrolling RPG, marking the first Hyperdimension Neptunia game to release on a Nintendo console.
While there is no pricing or date information, fans of the franchise will surely be happy to see the first mainline Hyperdimension Neptunia game release on the portable hybrid.
