It was previously announced that Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! would feature the return of Mega Evolutions. Now, The Pokémon Company has revealed new footage showing off two additional in-game Mega Evolutions – Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Gyarados.

In an earlier video, The Pokémon Company showed off the Mega Evolved forms of Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise in HD for the first time. The new short new trailer does the same with Kangaskhan and Gyarados, giving fans a sneak peek at Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Gyarados in the upcoming Nintendo Switch game, as well as showing off their strength in battle.

If you’re new to the Pokémon franchise, or simply haven’t come across Mega Evolutions before, then here’s a quick rundown. Players will be able to Mega Evolve a Pokémon once per battle if they have a Key Stone and the Mega Stone corresponding to that specific Pokémon. Once Mega Evolved, the Pokémon takes on a powerful new form with increased stats, unique abilities, and sometimes new type combinations.

Recent Japanese trademarks have led some to speculate whether the new Pokémon games will introduce new Mega Evolutions. This would be the first time since Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire in 2014, though The Pokémon Company hasn’t revealed anything quite yet.

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! are scheduled to release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on November 16th 2018.
