Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order gets a July release date

Fortunately, this game wasn't snapped out of existence.
MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order

Marvel Ultimate Alliance, a series that has laid dormant for ten years, is coming back exclusively to the Nintendo Switch! First announced at the Game Awards last December, the game now been confirmed for a July 19th 2019 release.

Much like Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order presents dozens of superheroes facing off against Thanos in a race to attain the Infinity Stones. With the combined efforts of Koei Tecmo Games / Team Ninja and Nintendo as the publisher, this iterative entry will be the grandest in scope yet. Including Marvel staples such as the Avengers and X-Men, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 will include a slew of new heroes such as the Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, and more, each with their own unique moveset and special abilities.

Teaming up with Nintendo to bring MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order to the Nintendo Switch system elevates the MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE series to even greater heights. With the ability to play at home or on the go, solo, co-op and online with friends, Marvel fans can save the world from Thanos and high stakes threats in any way they like, anytime, anywhere.

For those looking to team up with three other friends online for Marvel Ultimate Alliance’s traditional beat-em-up combat, a Nintendo Switch Online membership will be required.

Marvel Ulitmate Alliance 3: The Black Order is shaping up to be the biggest Marvel video game to date, and with a July 19th release date, we only have to wait a few more months for some crossover action. The game will be available in stores and digitally through the Nintendo eShop for $59.99 / £59.99.
