Luigi's Mansion 3

The latest Nintendo Direct opened with a surprise for fans of Luigi’s Mansion. A new game is in development and it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2019.

With a working title of “Luigi’s Mansion 3”, it looks to be a fully-fledged sequel to the Gamecube classic and follows Luigi’s Mansion 2 (also known as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon) released in 2013 on the 3DS.

Other than the game’s existence and a working title, not much is known about Luigi’s Mansion 3 at this stage. However, the announcement trailer did show off some snippets of gameplay footage and fans of the series will undoubtedly be pleased to see a familiar spooky style. Of course, the Mario brother is still equipped with his trusty torch and hoover as he creeps around to rid the mansion of ghosts and ghouls.

Players looking to whet their appetite ahead of Luigi’s Mansion 3 release on Nintendo Switch in 2019 don’t have to wait long. A Luigi’s Mansion remake was announced for 3DS earlier this year and is creeping in just before Halloween on October 19th.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for more news and announcements about Luigi’s Mansion 3 in the coming months.
