Killer Queen Black, the multiplayer action/strategy platformer from Liquid Bit and BumbleBear Games, might be launching for Switch on August 20th 2019. The physical release listed on Amazon also packs an exclusive Nintendo Switch Joy-Con skin.
Originally released as the physical arcade title “Killer Queen” in 2013, a fully rebuilt and optimised Nintendo Switch adaptation was first announced during last year’s Nintendo E3 presentation as a Q3 2019 title. Supporting up to eight players in a fast-paced and intense battle of the hives, fans have been early awaiting the title’s launch ever since.
Now, thanks to the physical listing on Amazon US, we may finally have the first indication of Killer Queen Black’s Nintendo Switch release date. According to Amazon, Killer Queen Black is set to launch for Switch on August 20th 2019.
While unlikely, the date could potentially be a placeholder, as nothing official has been announced just yet. However, it doesn’t seem to mark the end of Q3 2019 and also lines up with the Xbox One date provided by Best Buy.
Additionally, when questioned on twitter about the provided release date, the official Killer Queen Black account replied with the following comment:
Let’s just say we couldn’t submit to those retailers without a date
Fans looking to spice up their Joy-Con controllers will also be pleased to hear that the physical Switch release will also include a Killer Queen Black themed Joy-Con Skin. Killer Queen Black will officially be launching for Nintendo Switch in Q3 2019, with retail listings suggesting an August 20th release. The physical game is available to pre-order from Amazon for $29.99 and will come bundled with a nifty Joy-Con skin. European pricing is yet to be revealed.
