Journey to the Savage Planet, the upcoming first-person adventure game from Typhoon Studios, seems to be coming to Nintendo Switch in future. News of the portable port comes ahead of any official announcement, fueled by a Brazilian game rating for the Nintendo Switch.

Officially set to release for PS4, Xbox One and PC on January 28th 2020, Journey to the Savage Planet is a comical and colourful co-op adventure game about interstellar exploration. Players take on the role of Kindred Aerospace employees who have been tasked with exploring alien worlds to locate those fit for habitation. Dispatched with little-to-no resources and just as much of a plan, you’ll be proud to call yourself part of the fourth-best interstellar exploration company around.

It’s unclear whether the Nintendo Switch port of the game will launch along alongside other platforms or require a little more time in the oven. However, according to the Brazilian advisory board, the Switch version was rated at the same time as other launch platforms. So the inclusion of a Switch release in January 2020 isn’t entirely out of the realm of possibility. The lack of any word when the PS4 and Xbox One versions were announced does cast a shadow of doubt over a potential day one Switch release though.

In addition to a single-player adventure, Journey to the Savage Planet will allow explorers to buddy up and venture together. On other platforms, co-op mode will be handled via an online connection. So it’s likely that a Nintendo Switch Online subscription will be required to play together on the Switch port.

If you’re looking forward to being part of Kindred Aerospace and want to explore on the go, then be sure to keep your eyes peeled for an official Switch announcement at some point in future. Until then, you’ll just have to make do with a pre-order trailer.
