Into the Breach is available on Nintendo Switch today

Take on the Vek for the first time on a console!
Into the Breach

The critically acclaimed turn-based strategy game Into The Breach is coming to Nintendo Switch today. Into the Breach already released on PC, Mac and Linux earlier this year, but the Switch version marks the game’s debut on consoles.

Into the Breach is set in a post-apocalyptic world where what remains of humanity is being threatened by extraterrestrial creatures called Vek who have been breeding beneath the ground. Players are tasked with saving randomly generated islands from their attacks and are given powerful mechs from the future as their weapon of choice.

With each attempt, a new randomly generated event is thrown at the player. You’ll need to overcome these challenges and protect civilians by perfecting your strategy and analysing your opponent’s every turn. Along the way, you’ll find new weapons and pilots to help fight off the alien foe.

The announcement was made as a “one more thing”, closing off today’s Nindies Showcase (Summer 2018). Players ready to take on the Vek can grab a copy of Into the Breach from the Switch eShop for $14.99 / £11.39 / €14,99.

Into the Breach is a turn-based strategy game developed by Subset Games. This is the studio’s second offering after the indie hit FTL: Faster than Light.
