Gunman Clive 1 & 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch in the form of a Gunman Clive HD Collection, according to developer Bertil Hörberg. The side-scrolling indie western has been submitted to Nintendo for lot check testing.

Originally released on the Nintendo Wii U, the Gunman Clive HD Collection features enhanced ports of both 3DS titles (with a nice bump up to 1080p 60fps). In both games, players jump into the boots of a gunslinger named Clive as he blasts away bandits through heavily stylised 2D levels. While the first title focuses on rescuing the Major’s daughter from the hand of outlaws, the second sees Clive return to take on the bandit leader and stamp out their criminality once and for all.

Developer Bertil Hörberg revealed on twitter that the Switch port of Gunman Clive had been “lying around almost complete for two years”. It was only recently that final fixes to the games were made, allowing the collection to be submitted to Nintendo for approval.

If all goes well, the Gunman Clive HD Collection should be heading to Nintendo Switch at some point in the near future. As for pricing, the games have historically sold for $2 a piece or $4 for the collection. So while no official price has been revealed just yet, if the past is any indicator, the Switch collection should be fairly affordable.
