Growtopia gets a Nintendo Switch trailer before being pulled from NoA’s site

Growtopia, possibly one of the worst kept Switch secrets to date
Grotopia Nintendo Switch Trailer Shot

Growtopia’s slow (and still officially unannounced) creep to Nintendo Switch seems to be getting weirder every week. After first being rated for Switch and then nabbing its own game page with a release date set in the past, Growtopia has now been treated to its very own Nintendo Switch trailer!

Well… was treated to its very own Nintendo Switch trailer.

Yesterday, on May 8th 2019, Nintendo of America’s official Growtopia game page swapped out the usual leading screenshot for a full-on Nintendo Switch trailer. The trailer, which besides the Nintendo Switch branding seemed to be extremely similar to their mobile one, was then promptly removed. Starting with the trademark Switch click logo splash and ending with the shot seen in the image above, the trailer adds even more fuel to the impending Switch announcement fire.

In addition to removing the (presumably premature) trailer, Nintendo and Ubisoft have gone a step further by completely removing Growtopia’s Nintendo Switch product page. Heading to Growtopia’s Switch page on Nintendo of America’s website now simply throws up the following message:

Growtopia Switch Error Not Found
Growtopia for Switch has been completely removed from the server

It’s been a strange journey for the Switch port of Growtopia so far, but if the recent and extremely brief trailer appearance is anything to go by, we’ll likely be hearing more in the coming weeks.
