Fortnite Switch Bundle

The biggest game in the world right now, Fortnite is getting a Nintendo Switch bundle of its very own on October 5th, 2018.

Retailing at $299.99, the bundle includes a Nintendo Switch with the neon red and blue Joy-Cons, 1,000 of Fortnite’s in-game currency “V-bucks” and The Double Helix set containing a unique skin, back bling, glider and pickaxe.

It’s not yet been confirmed if The Double Helix set is exclusive to the bundle.

Fortnite is one of the most popular games on the planet and challenges players to be the last one standing in a 100-player Battle Royale. You’ll need to smash down buildings, collect materials and build huge forts to outwit your opponents and claim that coveted Victory Royale.

Players can go it alone in Solo mode or team up with friends online in Duos or Squads. Additionally, Fortnite frequently offers “Limited Time Modes” such as 50-v-50 and The Getaway.

As a free-to-play game, Fortnite trades cash for cosmetics with a variety outfits, emotes and pickaxes available to purchase daily and is playable without a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. The unique “Battle Pass” system encourages players to keep battling by offering additional challenges and unlockables on a seasonal basis.

With Fortnite season 6 on the horizon, it could be a great time to get in on the action. As the Battle Royale bundle retails for the same $299.99 as a regular Nintendo Switch, there’s little to lose if you’re in the market for a new console.
