In a two-minute video launching alongside today’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate announcement, Nintendo announced the final part of the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Expansion Pack. Wave 4 of this expansion will feature a new side story titled “Cindered Shadows.”
The long-awaited additional story will feature a mysterious fourth house known as the Ashen Wolves who make their home in an underground part of Garreg Mach called “Abyss.” New playable characters include Hapi (a mounted magic-user), Yuri (a caped swordfighter), Constance (appearing to be a Dark Flier), and Balthus (a gauntlet-wielder who makes use of a new Hero’s Relic called Vajra-Mushti).
Cindered Shadows boasts new side quests, character supports, classes, and paralogues, and is widely expected to be the most significant and substantial part of the Expansion Pass. Previous DLC waves included new outfits and accessories, stat-boosting items, additional auxiliary battles, new recruitable characters, and new activities such as feeding animals and relaxing in the sauna.
The Wave 4 DLC, initially slated for release by April 30, 2020, is now set for a February 12 release date, a mere two weeks after the game’s avatar character Byleth arrives in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Fire Emblem: Three Houses Expansion Pass is available right now, priced at $24.99 / £22.49 / €24,99.
