Fall of Light: Darkest Edition gets August release date on Nintendo Switch.

Wielding brand new content, the console-exclusive version gets a date.

Publisher Digerati has announced that Fall of Light: Darkest Edition will be coming to Nintendo Switch on August 23rd 2018. The game will be available digitally from the Nintendo eShop.

Originally released for PC in 2017, Fall of Light is a story-driven action RPG inspired by games like ICO and Dark Souls. Players take on the role of an aged warrior called Nyx, who along with his daughter, sets out to find the last place on Earth that still has light.

Fall of Light: Darkest Edition screenshotDarkest Edition (the console exclusive version of Fall of Light) will feature brand new dungeons, new weapons, new enemies to fight, and all the original content of the 2017 release. The game boasts over 20 different battle-stances, 10 weapon classes, and plenty of secrets hidden in the dungeon depths.

In addition to Switch, Fall of Light: Darkest Edition will also be heading to Xbox One on August 14th and PS4 on the 21st (North America) and 22nd (Europe) August. A limited edition physical PS4 release will be available through Play-Asia. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any news on a physical release for Nintendo Switch yet.
