The indie darling flies onto Nintendo Switch!
Dust: An Elysian Tail - Nintendo Switch

Indie action-RPG, Dust: An Elysian Tail, is coming to Nintendo Switch on September 10th.

In addition to a digital release, the game’s developer Dean Dodrill has partnered with Limited Run Games to release a physical version of Dust for a short time. The game’s physical release comes packaged with a full-colour game manual and a reversible cover with art by Dodrill.

Collectors hoping to get their hands on a physical copy of Dust can head over to Limited Run Games‘ website to pre-order the game for $29.99 USD on Friday, August 31st at 10 AM EST. You’ll have until pre-orders close on September 14th at 11:59 PM EST to secure your copy.

Unfortunately, due to the “long production times associated with Switch cartridges” Limited Run Games estimates that physical copies won’t ship out until late October.

The game follows the story of Dust, an anthropomorphic warrior on a quest across the land of Falana to regain his memory. He is joined on his adventure by a sentient sword called the Blade of Ahrah and it’s guardian, Fidget. Set in a beautiful, hand-painted open world, players battle off dozens of enemies at once and fight to discover Dust’s past.

Dust: An Elysian Tail originally released on Xbox 360 back in 2012 where critics and fans alike praised the game’s art style, story and Metroidvania-style exploration. As of 2014, the game has sold over one million copies across all platforms.
