Dark Souls: Remastered Nintendo Switch network test starts September 21st

Bandai Namco have revealed that a free network test for Darks Souls: Remastered on Nintendo Switch will begin on September 21st 2018. The software required to take part is 888MB in size and can be download from the Nintendo eShop right now.

The Dark Souls: Remastered network test will give Nintendo Switch players access to both multiplayer and single-player content in the game’s Undead Parish area. However, according the the North American eShop page, a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online will be required to take part.

Spreading over three days, the network test will be available in four hour slots at the following times:

September 21st

  • 5pm – 9pm UTC
  • 5pm – 9pm PDT
  • 6pm – 10pm BST
  • 7pm – 11pm CEST

September 22nd

  • 5pm – 9pm UTC
  • 5pm – 9pm PDT
  • 6pm – 10pm BST
  • 7pm – 11pm CEST

September 23rd

  • 5pm – 9pm UTC
  • 5pm – 9pm PDT
  • 6pm – 10pm BST
  • 7pm – 11pm CEST

Just like the full game, the upcoming Nintendo Switch network test will support between 1 and 6 players in an online multiplayer instance. An increase from the original release which could only support a maximum of 4.

Dark Souls: Remastered is set to release on October 19th 2018 for Nintendo Switch and will be priced at $39.99 / £34.99 / €39,99. The game will be available as both a digital download and a physical release.
