CrossCode, the 2D action RPG, is officially making its console debut on Nintendo Switch later this year. The upcoming Switch release was announced during today’s Nintendo Indie Highlights reel.

Developed by Radical Fish Games and published by Deck13 Interactive, CrossCode’s main focus is on gameplay. The combat is fast-paced, the physics keeps fights unpredictable, and the puzzle mechanics are designed to keep players engaged.

Inspired by SNES titles, CrossCode’s 16-bit graphics hurl you into the role of protagonist Lea, as she unravels an engrossing sci-fi story. Login to the MMO of the distant future to uncover a vast world, meet other “players” and overcome the many challenges the game throws your way.

Throughout the game, you’ll be tasked with exploring 7 unique sections of the world, each with hidden secrets to uncover. Test your mettle against over 120 unique enemies, more than 30 bosses, and through 8 different dungeons with their own unique themes and puzzle mechanics.

Combat is promised to be varied with over 100 combat arts and passive skills. Coupled with the game’s extensive soundtrack of over 60 songs, you’re guaranteed to still be enjoying the music throughout CrossCode’s massive 40-to-80-hour campaign.
