Risk of Rain 2 and Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition both appear to have been shadow-dropped by Gearbox on the Nintendo Switch. The games, which both suddenly appeared on the EU and US eShop earlier today, are both available to purchase for £24.99 / €29,99 / $29.99.
Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition is an enhanced port of 2011’s Bulletstorm and comes packing all previous DLC. The Switch version is also said to feature improved graphics and additional content – including an Overkill Campaign Mode and 6 new maps. Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition will also allow players enjoy the entire Bulletstorm campaign as Duke Nukem, featuring brand new lines of dialogue by the original voice of Duke Nukem, Jon St. John.
Not satisfied with just one surprise launch, Gearbox Publishing has also popped the roguelike third-person shooter “Risk of Rain 2” onto the Switch eShop too. Acting as a sequel to the original 2D roguelike released in 2013, Risk of Rain 2 adds an extra dimension for friends to team-up in, kill enemies, collect loot and try not to die whilst stranded on an alien world. The game also features a whole host of features, including randomised environments, enemies, bosses, upgrades and loot. Try not to die though, as you’ll have to start again in a brand new world. As the game is currently still in development, future content will be added to the game as free updates.
